The Garden ~ Powerscourt Townhouse Florist

The Garden 1

Last week I visted my favourite Dublin florist for a little photoshoot: The Garden in the Powerscourt Townhouse, right in the heart of the city.  This shop is a beautiful space, full of unique flower arrangements that look gorgeous in their elegant Georgian surroundings.

Mark Grehan is the talented florist and landscape designer behind The Garden, his dream of a visually rich florists shop has truly become reality in this magical little space.  The plants and flowers spill delightfully out onto the steps of the Powerscourt building, and inside the chandelier and mirrors help to create a charming atmosphere.  It is a wonderful space to visit, let alone to buy flowers from.

You may have seen my post earlier this year, raving about the beautiful bouquet Daniel bought me for me birthday?  Well that bouquet came from this shop, and ever since I took those photos I’ve been eager to go and do a proper shoot of the whole space.  So thanks very much to Mark for being kind enough to allow me to spend an hour snapping away with my camera!  Be sure to pay him a visit the next time you’re looking for a present for someone special.
