After a sunlit walk through Dublin’s Phoenix Park I was wondering if the rest of the day could possibly live up to an early morning stroll through the rich greens of an Irish summer. But Bloom in the Park 2013 certainly did not disappoint and the rest of the day was just as pleasurable!
Bloom is always an inspiring event, even for those who, like myself, have no actual garden. I came away dreaming of the green space I will own someday, impressed with the imagination and talent of the exhibiting gardeners.
The food and craft markets were just as enjoyable, with plenty of pretty things to linger over and tempting free samples. It’s a friendly place with stall holders happy to chat about the things they create and the passions that drive them.
I took too many photos to fit into one post, so I’ll pop up another one later in the week with lots more shots!
